General RuneFest T&Cs

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your attendance at RuneFest (the "Event"). These Terms should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy. Please read these Terms carefully and, in particular, paragraphs 9 and 13 regarding how we will handle your personal data in relation to the Event. By purchasing Tickets (defined below) and/or participating in the Event, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. This Event is owned, hosted and organised by Jagex Limited of 220 Cambridge Science Park, Cambridge, England, CB4 0WA ("we", "us" or "Jagex"). Details about the Event venue (“Venue”), dates and ticketing information can be found on our website at www.runefest.com.. We may amend these Terms at any time by publishing the updated Terms on our website.

  1. What is the Event? 

    1.1 RuneFest is an exciting live event organised for fans of RuneScape where attendees can immerse themselves in the world of the game, meet fellow fans, participate in activities and enjoy various attractions related to the game.

    1.2 The Event’s operating hours, schedules, floor plans, exhibitors, vendors, guests and speakers are subject to change or cancellation without notice. Activities and attractions at the Event are subject to availability and access is not guaranteed for all attendees.


  2. Who can attend the Event?

    2.1 Anyone can purchase a Ticket to the Event, however, we reserve the right to deny entry to individuals that have been banned from attending Jagex events or who we reasonably believe are under the influence of any substances, or where we believe that that they intend to be disruptive or deliberately breach these Terms or our Rules.

    2.2 Tickets will grant entry for the full duration of the Event. There are no Tickets available for individual days of the Event.

    2.3 If you have any access requirements or concerns regarding any special effects at the Event (for example, lighting, sound or audio-visual effects), please contact us at support@runefest.com prior to purchasing your Ticket.


  3. How old do I have to be to attend the Event?

    3.1 Any individual under the age of 16 (a "Minor") must have their own Ticket and must be accompanied by someone over the age of 18 (their "Guardian") at all times. Guardians are responsible for Minors in their care, including their compliance with these Terms and our Rules.


  4. Where do I get tickets to the Event?

    4.1 You can purchase tickets to attend the Event via links to the official ticketing partner at www.runefest.com ("Tickets"). Only Tickets purchased via our official ticketing partner are valid and will allow admission to the Event. Tickets purchased from unauthorised third parties will be void and may be revoked without refund or compensation.

    4.2 Ticket prices and details of any applicable ticket tiers will be set out on our official ticketing partner’s website.

    4.3 Children under the age of 6 can attend the event for free but must still obtain a Ticket.

    4.4 Attendees who require assistance or care may be accompanied by a designated carer. Carers accompanying attendees with special needs or disabilities are eligible to receive a complimentary ticket. Proof of carer status may be required when redeeming these tickets.

    4.5 You will be emailed a booking confirmation and your Ticket at the email address which you used to purchase the Ticket.

    4.6 Tickets are sold on a first-come, first-served basis and may be restricted to a maximum number of Tickets per person.  Any restrictions on the number of Tickets that can be purchased will be notified to you at the time of purchase.

    4.7 All Ticket purchases are final, non-refundable and non-transferable. This applies to Tickets only and does not apply to merchandise purchases, which are governed by separate Merchandise Terms.

    4.8 You may not combine a Ticket with any hospitality, travel or accommodation service and/or any other merchandise, product or service and you are not permitted to offer Tickets as an incentive or prize in a promotion or competition.

    4.9 We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the Event for any reason. We will not be responsible for any costs, damages, fees or expenses incurred by you as a result of such cancellation or postponement.

    4.10 Ticket holders will have the opportunity to pre-order RuneFest merchandise which can be collected at the Event. Details of how and where to collect any pre-ordered merchandise will be emailed to you at the time you place your order. All merchandise purchases are subject to the RuneFest 2026 Merchandise Terms set out at the end of this document.


  5. How do I attend the Event?

    5.1 You must present your Ticket in order to gain entry to the Event. Each Tickets grants entry for one Person and cannot be used once redeemed.

    5.2 Ticket holders may be requested to present a valid form of photo ID matching the name on the ticket in order to enter the Event.

    5.3 We reserve the right to refuse admission for security and safety reasons, for example where we have previously banned you from attending our events or where we reasonably believe that you intend to be disruptive or deliberately breach these Terms or our Rules.

    5.4 For security, we reserve the right to search your belongings prior to entry of the Venue. If you are found to be in possession of any dangerous items or items which are in breach of our Rules (defined below), these items may be confiscated and we may refuse admission to the Event.


  6. What if the Event is cancelled or rescheduled? 

    6.1 If Jagex needs to cancel the Event, you will be entitled to a full refund of the price you paid for your Ticket.

    6.2 If Jagex needs to reschedule the Event to a different date or venue, your Tickets will automatically be transferred to the rescheduled Event. If you are no longer able to make the Event because of the changes, you will be entitled to apply for a full refund of the price you paid for your Ticket.

    6.3 In both cases, we will only refund the actual Ticket price paid by you when purchasing your Tickets. We are not liable, and will not reimburse you, for any additional costs that you may incur as a result of the Event being cancelled or rescheduled. For example, Jagex is not liable for any travel or accommodation costs that you have incurred.

    6.4 These are the only situations where you will be entitled to a refund of your Ticket price.  If you are unable to make the Event for any other reason, you will not be entitled to a refund. Please ensure that you are able to attend the Venue on the relevant dates before purchasing a Ticket.


  7. What rules apply to me when I attend the Event?

    7.1 You agree at all times in connection with the Event to comply with:

    These Terms.

    Our RuneFest Code of Conduct.

    All applicable laws.

    Any other instructions, rules or policies relating to the Venue or the Event.

    (together, the "Rules").

    7.2 You acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for your compliance with the Rules at all times and Guardians are also solely responsible for any Minors in their care.

    7.3 We have a zero tolerance policy for breaches of our Rules and we reserve the right to remove you from the Event and ban you from future events if you breach our Rules. You will not be given a refund if you are refused entry or ejected due to your own behaviour and/or your failure to comply with these Terms.

    7.4 The purchase of your Tickets is also subject to the terms and conditions of our official ticketing partner, details of which can be found in our FAQs


  8. What can I bring with me to the Event?

    8.1 You will need to have your ticket and a valid form of photo ID in order to enter the Event.

    8.2 Cosplay and props related to RuneScape are also encouraged, however, any items that we believe could be dangerous to the safety of other attendees or otherwise disrupt the Event will not be permitted.

    8.3 At all times you must wear proper attire, including shoes and shirts. We reserve the right to deny entry or remove from the Event anyone wearing inappropriate attire or attire that could detract from the Event, in our sole and absolute discretion.

    8.4 All personal property brought to the Event is done so at your own risk. Jagex is not responsible for any loss or damage to any personal property that you bring to the Event.


  9. Will I be filmed or photographed while I am attending the Event?  

    9.1 The Event will be video recorded and photographed by professional photographers commissioned by Jagex. You understand that we need to do this to share the Event with those who were unable to attend in person and to include these images and videos in promotional materials. Our filming team have been instructed to only take general pictures of the Event, but we cannot prevent that you might feature incidentally in any imagery captured and used. 

    9.2 If the photographer/camera person wants to take imagery with you as the principal subject for a photo, video or interview, they will first ask for your permission.

    9.3 By attending an Event you are giving permission to Jagex to use any images or videos of you at the Event without the payment of any fee.  These images and videos may be used within any film, photograph, audio and/or audiovisual recording for the promotion and publicity of the Event and for Jagex's general promotional and business purposes.

    9.4 You also agree that you may appear in filming by the police or security staff which may be carried out for the security of attendees or the prevention of crime.


  10. Can I be removed from the Event?

    10.1 We reserve the right to remove you from the Event if:

    You have breached our Rules.

    You conduct any illegal behaviour.

    In our reasonable view, you act in a way which is harmful, unsafe, offensive or otherwise disruptive to the Event and other attendees of the Event.


  11. Can I purchase alcohol at the Event?

    11.1 Yes, you will be able to purchase alcohol at designated areas within the Event which will be served subject to the Challenge 25 policy. While alcohol can be purchased at the Venue, please drink responsibly and ensure you follow our Rules. We have a zero tolerance policy for drunken, disruptive and harmful behaviour. You are not permitted to bring your own alcohol into the Event or to consume any purchased alcohol outside of the designated areas.


  12. Can I sell items at the Event?

    12.1 No, only approved vendors and exhibitors are permitted to sell items at the Event. You must not attempt to sell goods or services of any kind or attempt to carry out any other commercial activity without our prior written consent.


  13. Will you use my personal data?

    13.1 Yes, we will use your personal data in the following ways:

    13.1.1 To register your Ticket purchase and permit your entry to the Event.

    13.1.2 To respond to any queries that you send to us at support@runefest.com.

    13.1.3 Where you are included in any photos or videos (see "Will I be filmed or photographed while I am attending the Event?" above).

  14. Other legal terms

    14.1 You acknowledge that all personal property taken to the Event is at your own risk and Jagex is not responsible for any damage or theft to your property. Please do not leave your possessions unattended at the Event.

    14.2 Jagex will not be liable for any loss or damage resulting from events outside of its control including fire, storms, acts of God, air conditioning or heating failure, theft, bomb threats, roof leaks, other attendees participating in the Event.

    14.3 Limitation of Liability. You are solely responsible for your own safety and security whilst attending the Event and Jagex shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by you at the Event. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits Jagex's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

    14.4 You agree to pay Jagex all losses, costs and expenses suffered by Jagex arising from your breach of our Rules or any property damage caused by you.

    14.5 No failure or delay by Jagex to exercise its rights under these Terms shall amount to a waiver of that right nor shall it prevent or restrict the further exercise of that or any other right by Jagex.

    14.6 These Terms shall be governed by the laws of England and Wales, although if you are a resident elsewhere you will retain the benefit of any mandatory protections given to you by the law of that country. If Jagex or you wish to take court proceedings for any reasons, this must be done so within the courts of England and Wales.

    14.7 If any provision or these Terms is, or becomes invalid, illegal or unenforceable, it shall be deemed deleted, but that shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the rest of these Terms.

    14.8 If any dispute arises under these Terms or our Rules we will attempt to settle it.  To this end we shall use its reasonable endeavours to consult or negotiate in good faith, and attempt to reach a just and equitable settlement that is satisfactory to both you and Jagex.  Although this does not restrict your rights to pursue court proceedings, if we are unable to settle any dispute by negotiation within 21 days, the parties may attempt to settle it by mediation.  

    14.9 These Terms (along with all other terms and conditions referred to within these Terms, including the RuneFest 2026 Merchandise Terms where applicable) constitute the entire agreement between you and Jagex in relation to the Tickets, the Event and the Venue, and supersede any previous terms and conditions, agreement or arrangement relating to the same.

Merchandise T&Cs

The following terms and conditions apply only to the purchase of merchandise (including pre-order merchandise and merchandise purchased at the Event).

These Merchandise Terms are separate from and in addition to the RuneFest Event Terms. They apply only to merchandise purchases and do not apply to Ticket purchases or attendance at the Event. 

In the event of any conflict between these Merchandise Terms and the RuneFest Event Terms, these Merchandise Terms shall prevail in respect of merchandise.

PART A – PRE-ORDER MERCHANDISE TERMS (ONLINE VIA SEE TICKETS)

  1. CONTRACTING PARTY

    All merchandise purchased during the RuneFest 2026 ticket checkout process is sold by Jagex Limited (company number 03982706) ("Jagex"). THE WAY AHEAD GROUP LIMITED (trading as SEE Tickets) (“SEE Tickets”) acts as agent on behalf of Jagex in relation to such sales.


  2. APPLICATION OF TERMS

    These terms apply to all merchandise pre-orders. SEE Tickets’ consumer terms and conditions apply to ticket purchases only. In the event of any conflict, these terms shall prevail in respect of merchandise.


  3. ORDERING

    Pre-order merchandise is only available to purchase on the SEE Tickets platform and ticket purchase is required to purchase pre-order merchandise. All orders are subject to availability and acceptance by Jagex.

    If a customer’s ticket order is cancelled, any associated merchandise pre-order will also be cancelled. Where a merchandise pre-order is cancelled in these circumstances:

    1. A refund will be provided where the customer is entitled to cancel the order under clause 6.1 (Cancellation Rights); 

    2. Personalised items or other items identified as non-refundable at the point of purchase will not be refunded, except where faulty; and

    3. In all other cases, refunds may be offered at Jagex’s discretion.


  4. PRODUCT INFORMATION

    Product descriptions, sizing and care instructions are available on www.runefest.com/merch. Customers are responsible for reviewing this information prior to purchase.


  5. COLLECTION

    All pre-order merchandise must be collected at the RuneFest 2026 event at the NEC, Birmingham during certain dates in October 2026. Specific collection times will be announced nearer the event.

    Customers must present proof of purchase to collect items.

    If a customer is unable to attend, they may forward their order confirmation email to another attendee. That person may collect the order on the customer's behalf, subject to presenting both the email confirmation and order details. Collection in these circumstances is at the discretion of event staff.

    Jagex does not offer delivery of pre-order merchandise. If items are not collected at the event, Jagex reserves the right not to fulfil the order after the event, except where required by applicable law.


  6. CANCELLATION RIGHTS (CONSUMER CONTRACTS REGULATIONS 2013)

    6.1. Non-personalised Items

    Customers have the right to cancel their order within 14 days of purchase.

    6.2. Personalised Items

    Personalised items are exempt from cancellation rights and cannot be cancelled except where faulty.

    6.3. Personalisation Restrictions

    Customers may be given the option to personalise certain merchandise items (for example, by adding names or text). By submitting a personalisation request, you agree that the content:

    a) must not include the names, usernames or likenesses of other RuneScape players, community members or individuals; 
    b) must not contain any content that is offensive, abusive, defamatory, obscene or otherwise inappropriate; and 
    c) must not infringe the intellectual property rights or other rights of any third party.

    Jagex reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject or cancel any order for personalised merchandise which breaches this clause. Where an order is cancelled under this clause, Jagex will issue a full refund of the purchase price for the affected item. 


  7. REFUNDS AND RETURNS

    7.1. Pre-event cancellations

    Eligible cancellations will be refunded to the original payment method. Where a customer requests a cancellation or refund before the close of the pre-order period on SEE Tickets, such requests should be made via SEE Tickets in accordance with their terms and conditions, available at https://www.seetickets.com/content/terms-and-conditions.

    7.2. Faulty goods

    If goods are faulty, customers are entitled to remedies under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including repair, replacement or refund.

    Customers should notify Jagex at RuneFest 2026 where reasonably possible or contact Jagex customer support at support@runefest.com with details and evidence of the fault. Jagex may request reasonable evidence of any fault (such as photographs) before processing a claim. Where a return is required, Jagex will provide instructions and cover reasonable costs of returning faulty items. In some cases, Jagex may offer a refund or replacement without requiring the item to be returned. Nothing in these terms limits the customer’s statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

    7.3. Non-collection

    Failure to collect merchandise does not entitle the customer to a refund, except where required by law.

    7.4. Exchanges

    Jagex may offer size exchanges for non-personalised pre-order items during RuneFest 2026, subject to stock availability, with the exception of the RuneFest 2026 Long-Sleeved T-Shirt which is available exclusively on pre-order. Where an exchange is not possible, Jagex may offer a refund


  8. LIABILITY

    Jagex is responsible for the quality and conformity of merchandise. SEE Tickets has no responsibility for the merchandise itself.


  9. DATA SHARING

    Customer data necessary to fulfil orders will be shared between SEE Tickets, Jagex and relevant third-party suppliers in accordance with applicable data protection laws.


  10. RISK AND TITLE

    Risk in the merchandise passes to the customer upon collection. Title to the merchandise passes upon receipt of full payment.

    PART B – ON-SITE MERCHANDISE TERMS (EVENT SALES)

  1. CONTRACTING PARTY

    All merchandise sold at RuneFest 2026 is sold by Jagex.


  2. SALES

    All purchases made at RuneFest 2026 are final, subject to statutory rights. Jagex may at its discretion offer size exchanges during RuneFest 2026, subject to stock availability, and change-of-mind refunds only during RuneFest 2026.


  3. RETURNS POLICY

    3.1. Change of mind

    Change-of-mind refunds and size exchanges may be offered by Jagex during RuneFest 2026, subject to stock availability. Jagex does not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind after RuneFest 2026.

    3.2. Faulty goods

    Customers have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of purchase. After this period, customers may be entitled to a repair or replacement, or a refund where applicable, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Customers are encouraged to notify Jagex at RuneFest 2026 where possible or contact Jagex customer support at support@runefest.com with details of the issue. Jagex may request reasonable evidence of any fault (such as photographs) before processing a claim. Where a return is required, Jagex will provide instructions and cover reasonable costs of returning faulty items. In some cases, Jagex may offer a refund or replacement without requiring the item to be returned.

  1. PERSONALISED GOODS

    Personalised items cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty. Any personalisation applied to merchandise at the Event must comply with the content standards set out in Part A, clause 6.3 of these Merchandise Terms and Conditions. Jagex reserves the right to refuse to produce or fulfil any personalised item that does not comply with those standards.


  2. PRICING AND PROMOTIONS

    Promotional offers (including any ticket-holder discounts) are subject to availability and specific terms displayed at the point of sale. Holders of a valid Gold Ticket for RuneFest 2026 may receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased at the event, subject to availability and the following conditions:

    1. The discount may only be applied to a maximum of 2 units of any single item;

    2. The discount is personal to the Gold Ticket holder and may not be transferred, shared or otherwise misused; and

    3. Jagex reserves the right to refuse or withdraw the discount where it reasonably suspects misuse, fraud or breach of these terms.


  3. LIABILITY

    Jagex is responsible for all on-site merchandise sales.

  5. RISK AND TITLE

    Risk in the merchandise passes to the customer upon collection. Title to the merchandise passes upon receipt of full payment.

PART C – GENERAL

  1. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales

Merchandise T&Cs

The following terms and conditions apply only to the purchase of merchandise (including pre-order merchandise and merchandise purchased at the Event).

  2. SALES

    All purchases made at RuneFest 2026 are final, subject to statutory rights. Jagex may at its discretion offer size exchanges during RuneFest 2026, subject to stock availability, and change-of-mind refunds only during RuneFest 2026.

    3.1. Change of mind

    Change-of-mind refunds and size exchanges may be offered by Jagex during RuneFest 2026, subject to stock availability. Jagex does not offer refunds or exchanges for change of mind after RuneFest 2026.

    3.2. Faulty goods

After this period, customers may be entitled to a repair or replacement, or a refund where applicable, in accordance with the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Customers are encouraged to notify Jagex at RuneFest 2026 where possible or contact Jagex customer support at support@runefest.com with details of the issue. Jagex may request reasonable evidence of any fault (such as photographs) before processing a claim. Where a return is required, Jagex will provide instructions and cover reasonable costs of returning faulty items. In some cases, Jagex may offer a refund or replacement without requiring the item to be returned.

  1. PERSONALISED GOODS

    Personalised items cannot be returned or refunded unless faulty. Any personalisation applied to merchandise at the Event must comply with the content standards set out in Part A, clause 6.3 of these Merchandise Terms and Conditions. Jagex reserves the right to refuse to produce or fulfil any personalised item that does not comply with those standards.


  2. PRICING AND PROMOTIONS

    Promotional offers (including any ticket-holder discounts) are subject to availability and specific terms displayed at the point of sale. Holders of a valid Gold Ticket for RuneFest 2026 may receive a 15% discount on merchandise purchased at the event, subject to availability and the following conditions:

    1. The discount may only be applied to a maximum of 2 units of any single item;

    2. The discount is personal to the Gold Ticket holder and may not be transferred, shared or otherwise misused; and

    3. Jagex reserves the right to refuse or withdraw the discount where it reasonably suspects misuse, fraud or breach of these terms.


  3. LIABILITY

    Jagex is responsible for all on-site merchandise sales.

  5. RISK AND TITLE

    Risk in the merchandise passes to the customer upon collection. Title to the merchandise passes upon receipt of full payment.

PART C – GENERAL

  1. GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

    These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales
